Why Championship Duplication?

With over 30 years of experience in duplication, marketing, distribution, and customer service, Championship Duplication has everything you need to take your project from concept to completion.

What is the difference between replication and duplication?

During the duplication process, a copy of your original master is "burned" into the playback surface of the disc. Duplication offers quicker turn times and is more cost effective than replication for quantities under 1000.

During the replication process, a "glass master" is created directly from your original master. The glass master is then used to stamp copies of your disc. Replication has a longer turnaround time (usually 9 business days), but is more cost effective for orders over 1000. Once completed, a Duplicated DVD or CD will perform the same as a replicated DVD or CD in almost all players.

Replication DVD Options:

DVD-5 is the industry standard and will hold about 2 hours of video content.

DVD-9 is a double-layer disc that holds about 4 hours of video content.

What is the difference between thermal and ink jet printing?

Thermal printing provides highly durable print-work for your discs at minimal cost. The image will not smear or peel off. Thermal printing is best suited for text, line art, or solid colors on silver discs.

Ink jet printing provides high resolution and excellent color processing. Ink jet images can be printed on silver or white discs.
